I'm not getting any younger...So I guess why not?!

Late last week I got this.....
Eden Mara,

Thank you for applying as a contestant in the Mrs. Alaska United States 2009 pageant. Your application has been received and, after reviewing your information, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted as a participant! Early next week, you will receive a phone call from the director, to set up a personal meeting with you which will help answer any questions you may have.

The 2009 pageant will be held in Anchorage at the Anchorage Marriott Downtown on June 7th at 6:00 pm. We are very excited about this year's pageant and are looking forward to getting you know you better! Please let Laura or myself know if there's anything we can do to help you best prepare.

So.....

On June 7th, 2009, I will have the opportunity to compete for the title of Mrs. Alaska United States. The Mrs. United States Organization is dedicated to highlighting the beauty and accomplishments of today’s married women.

Competing in a pageant will challenge me to improve my speaking skills, learn a new level of grace and poise. It will allow me the opportunity to share my passion for “Youth Mentoring”, this is the pageant platform that I have chosen.

I am very excited about this new challenge and hope my friends will be cheering for me either at the pageant ( with signs and the ability to yell and cheer for me)or in spirit...
