Seths Baptism

This was a very anticipated event for Seth. He has been counting down to his special event. Connor had stayed home from school sick a few weeks ago. I told Seth to go ahead and walk w/ Brynn home after school. Seth responded w/ I CANT DO THAT YET! How am I supposed to keep me and Brynn safe on way home?!I haven't even gotten baptized yet or gotten the gift of the holy ghost?! The look on his face as he responded to my request was like What kind of parent ARE YOU??!!This kind of faith is so amazing to me. Seth is such a cool kid.

SO I have had this crazy idea in my mind for ever.I wanted each of my kids to be able to play a musical instrument. In addition, I wanted for them to be able to play something special hymn or song to honor each other at their special events...ie; baptisms and whatever else comes along.
Really great idea in theory...but it didnt occor to me how difficult it is for 2 brothers with vastly different personalities might have a bit of difficulty playing together. Individualy...no problem. But together just think of a cat being tortured.

This picture makes me smile because Wade and Connor worked HARD to make sure that they sounded good TOGETHER. Rob Wood,a Young Single Adult getting ready to go on a mission, truly saved the day. He worked with Wade and Connor for 3 or 4 evenings to get them in sync. The ended up sounding good and I am so happy that I dare to dream up these ambitious ideas.I know that it was very special to Seth and that the experience had a positive impact on Wade and Connor as well.

Man, we didn't even know about his baptism! Curses being in different wards! We miss you guys! What's been going on in your neck of the woods? We're still up the road from you... 4 1/2 months into trying to get the house. Today should be the magic day though... but we're not holding our breath :)

Seth looks so cute!!
